Here We Go! (Again?)

2012 is here.  We made it!

Does it feel like New Year’s Day keeps coming faster and faster each year?

What is changing?

Are you?

Every year I can’t help but think of the people I know that had big plans, huge hopes, and daring dreams for the last year. I’m always pulling for my fellow warriors, so I hate when it’s all talk, no action.

Warriors go to war, they don’t just talk about it.

I’ll never understand how some folks act like there’s an unlimited supply of days like today. Fresh starts. New years.

Here we go…again?

The problem is we only have so many new years before we run out.  This is a sobering thought for sure, but true nevertheless. What would you do if this was your last New Year’s Day?

Would you still keep dreaming or would you start doing?

If you need a calendar to push yourself, take it. But please don’t keep putting off what matters.

You might push it right out of reach.

Have a great year,

Aaron@Biebert

Your Three Options for 2012

Today we usher in a new year, a new month, a new week.

What did you learn from the last one?

As much as people like talking about the events of last year or predicting the future, we should really focus on something more important.

It’s not what happens that matters. It’s what you learn from the experience.

Bad things happened in 2011. Tons of them.

What did you learn?

Bad things will happen in 2012 too. It’s a guarantee.

Here are your three options:

1) Ignorance:

Run away.  Ignore the lessons earned from tough times.  Be shocked again when bad things happen.

2) Awakening:

If you picked option #1 for 2011, you can change your mindset.  Face the hard times, learn from your challenges in 2012.

3) Implementation:

Take the lessons learned in 2011 to prepare for and minimize the damage of tough times ahead.  Run toward the future with eyes wide open.  Be brave.  Be aware.

There are no other options. You’ll either be an idiot, a newbie, or a veteran of hard times.

Thanks for teaching me in 2011.

Thanks for your comments.  Thanks for your sharing. Thanks for your heart.

You changed me this year.  I will never be the same.

Thank you.

Here’s to a great year of learning ahead…cheers!
